Elsie is a community Volunteer.
In 2003 Elsie began working with North Shore Emergency Management. Currently she holds the position of Level 1 Responder where she is on call 24/7 in case of emergency situations such as fire's or earthquakes.
Elsie volunteers at Canuck Place Children's Hospice since October 2008, Canuck Place Provides specialized pediatric palliative care for children living with a life-threatening illness and support for their families.
Elsie also is a great supporter of the Canadian Cancer society. Every year since 2006 she has Volunteered in Daffodil Days and the Daffodil Ball.
Elsie works closely with Lawrence Sheppard, www.lawrencesheppard.ca presenting parent and staff workshops.
Elsie has been with us since 2001 and has been our director since 2002 she is an advocate for Families and Children.

Lawrence joined Highlands out of School Care Society in September 2005.
Lawrence is our Science & Math Guru. Making regular appearances as DR Lawrence-a-pedia, he introduces our children to a wide variety of topics!
Lawrence is our designated Driver and our Maintenance Man!
He has two children Hana 5 and Chihiro 3. His wife Michiko is our Early Childhood Educator.
In 2016 they were married by a Jedi on the grounds of Highlands Elementary in the Nature garden.
